Explore Various Jewish Culinary Delicacies During This Informative Cooking Class

The Federation is dedicated to building a strong Jewish community locally & worldwide through its fundraising, and by providing quality opportunities. This cooking class will feature traditional foods served on the Jewish Sabbath. Lisa Goldstein will give a brief overview of the Jewish dietary laws (Kashrut) and demonstrate and explain how to prepare Challah (braided bread for Shabbat and holidays), Sweet and Sour Meatballs, Tzimmis (carrot and sweet potato stew with dried fruit), Kugel (noodle pudding or casserole), and Rugelach (rolled pastry filled with cinnamon, raisins and nuts).
